ok i have just joined this forum, and would like to get the most out of it, maybe just by letting people hear my feeble attempt at playing guitar or whatever (I haven´t got any pretentious ideas), but I have got this big issue... I don´t know what to do to record what i play into my computer, yep I dont have a clue about it, so any suggestions, from the simplest idea, will be highly apprecieated

Well, the simplest way is to connect a mic to your computer and then hang it in front of your amp and record it with any program like Soundforger, Vegas or ProTools. That's what I've done with some songs, like One of a Kind. You only have to be carefula bout not saturating it.

I added that to Musical resources.

Feel free to put in more information there about the software and other resourses that you use!

hey thanks for the tips... I will try it out as soon as I finish finals (tomorrow is the last one in this semester) although I feel like getting a new mic, the one I have got now is really crappy, but lets see how well does it work.

Try this http://www.behringer.com/UCG102/index.cfm?lang=eng

I know it ain't free but it is cheap for what it does and the bundled software is great.
