Words alone are killers
sharper than a switchblade knife
They will creep up behind you
so please be careful with your life.

Words are cruel and heartless
they cannot be taken back
Words are empty friendless souls
they take from me what i most lack

Words don’t do the thinking
sone things are better left unsaid
Words will drain my very soul
and tie me to my mother’s bed

Words float on the ether
drifting, shifting with the sand
never knowing where they go
they fly away from my ‘prisoned hand

Words alone are nothing
they cannot mend what’s torn apart
Words are all I have to give
but they cannot heal, heal your broken heart
