2005-05-29 Emily June: This song is good! I listened to it right before I went to my work yesterday and I kept singing it softly the whole day :)

2005-05-29 Moonknight: damn I have to say, I really love this song! I haven't heard anything with feeling like this in a while. anyway what program are you using? I use Cool edit pro for my music recording, its easy and fantastic.the reverb thing is complicated to get a hold on at first, I have a few reverb settings I use for different things, harmonies have to have milder reverb than the main vocal line because the block of voices by itslef already provide a little reverb.

2005-05-29 TheRogue: I"m on a mac so the programs that are free are limited.. i'm using sound studio pro... little freeware prog i found.. i have to go back and drop the reverb and maybe retune my guitar.. it sounds off now that i've listened.. the backup was done on the fly, trying to figure out the backups and i didnt plan it which is why it's kind of different in spots.. gonna rework it too.. there are a couple of good notes that i'd like to just keep doing.. plus i gotta fix that little problem with my backups being half a second behind... it seems to throw it off alot more each time i hear it. :)

2005-05-29 Moonknight: the reverb on your main vocal line sounds good though, but the backing vocals do sound strange at some spots.the only thing I would add to the songs structure is a small bridge with vocal harmonies, just my thought on it.

2005-05-29 TheRogue: actually, there is no reverb on the main vocal line.. and I actually don't know what you mean on the last part.. everything i do is by sound.. I don't know names of anything, not even the chords I play..technical is totally lost on me.. :)

2005-05-30 Moonknight: ah you have natural reverb on your main voice line then, it sounds just right :D eventhough I study music composition and singing, I never remember the names of chords or antyhing either :P haha maybe I can help you with all that technical stuff if you ever need it

2005-05-30 TheRogue: ugh... tried to rework the vocals minus some of the reverb.. ended up messing it up more..hehe I'm gonna leave it and do another song...>.<

2005-05-31 Tyrana: I love it!!! *Goes to listen to your other songs*

2005-05-31 Tyrana: *Realizes there's only lyrics on the other song and saddens*

2005-06-01 TheRogue: music coming soon.. :) as well as a few others..

2005-06-01 Moonknight: excelent news then :D

2005-06-03 Tyrana: Hooray!

2005-06-04 drummer_x: Oooh. You have a loverly voice.. gave me the shivvers.. lol. :D :D :D

2005-06-04 Gooseberry: wow this is fantastic :) I have to agree with the others who liked the reverb though: Audacity is a free mac sound editor, have you tried that?

2005-06-05 TheRogue: I will see if i can find it. :)

2005-06-05 TheRogue: found it! great program! :D

2005-06-05 TheRogue: uploaded Version 2 (no reverb) the reverb was part of the reason the backup sounded late. :(.. this is more like sitting in a room and listening to a couple of guys sing a song.. less frill...just music sorta thing. :) Now i need to work on redoing the backups so they don't sound like poo... heh

2005-06-05 Gooseberry: well its still fantastic! but personally i still like the reverby one too, as you say though this one is more "real" i guess.

2005-06-05 Moonknight: it sounds much cleaner indeed, more crisp

2005-06-06 TheRogue: it's just that the reverb was making the backup sound slow...kept throwin me off.. i guess if i learn more about the recording stuff, maybe i can set it down so it doesn't trail so much..

2005-06-06 Moonknight: you can try a pre-delay,its a very mild but nice kind of reverb, but I don't know what your program lets you do. if you have that I'd recommend you try it out ;) I use it a lot.
