Those are our three drum majors. Well, the 2004 drum majors. We have knew drum majors now, seeing as two of them graduated last year.

Here's our formal picture for the year.

Here's a picture of the frontline. I'm in there somewhere.

We were warming up at our school before we left for a competition. The stadium was being used for a soccer game, so we were practicing in the JV soccer fields behind the stadium. Some guy turned around shouted at us between runs. "Hey, can you turn that thing down?" *referring to the Dr. Beat* "I can't hear the game!" Okay, he's sitting right there. He can turn around, look back into the stadium, and SEE the freaking game, but apparently us having a beat to work to is less important than HEARING the soccer game. Well, by the end of the practice most of the people in the back of the stands had turned around and were watching us, as you can see here.

Yay for shiny reflective colorguard flags. The title of the show was "Directions and reflections". Well, you can probably see the idea of reflections being shown here.

This is just a prop that our colorguard used. It's... sort of like a mirror, with the two people. Okay, now I feel like I'm talking down to you. Ignore me.

Me on the Mallet Kat, using the cruddiest mallets our school has, with the chimes after which I got my Elftown name behind me.

One time, at band camp, we were bringing the pit equipment out to the soccer field where we did the joint practices at night, and Lainey had grabbed the chimes for me. There's a hill that goes down to a parking lot which leads to the soccer field. The chimes sped up and were ready to crash into a car, but Lainey got in front of them to stop them. Chimes are top-heavy. The fell on her and broke her arm, but she CAME BACK to band camp. Despite the fact that she couldn't do any real malleting stuff with more than one arm, she came back and went through the rest of the week with us.

Drumline always has the best skit on the last night of band camp. Anyways, in last year's skit, we did a musical making fun of... well... everybody. It's tradition (the making fun of people part). Anyways, teasing Rachel, trombone soloist, in the song "Trombone Desperado". Well, we needed tumbleweed. My idea was to print the word on a few sheets of paper in a computer lab, but the printer wasn't plugged in, so we just snatched a few sheets of paper and... voila.

Three words: Dut, dut, baby
Another part of our skit-our grand finale, actually. Pretty cool.

This is the pit, warming up outside at band camp.
