I am waiting for the right time to strike and steal my sister's camera, but until that fateful day, i shall show you the type of mic i am currently using..

This is a Shure SM58. It's a dynamic mic and you usually see it used for vocals at gigs. It's not as sensitive as a condensor mic and the level of signal that goes through it (when you sing into it) is pretty low, it takes alot of boosting to get it loud enough and even then you get alot of background noise in your recording.

2006-03-04 [Rolo]: :D this is the best mic i have, it's years old but works a treat considering it's only a dynamic one... picks up acoustic guitars pretty damn well for what it is
