309.This Girl I Know

<img400*0:stuff/VintageRhymesAndValentines.jpg>

A song about schoolyard love, inspired by real life - That is what this Featured Song is all about. In [Vintage Rhymes and Valentines]'s words, it is only "a pretty simple pop song" - but it is more than that.

The tune is addictive and you feel yourself starting to sing along after your first listen. I recommend listening to it at least twice! :)

Now we've just got to wait him to branch out to making songs with his favourite instrument - the ukelele!

22.Get Heavy

He might be a man of few words, but [Orestez] can sure make a kick-ass bass line! This song has appeal for both lovers of techno AND rock, two of this songwriter's favourite genres. It is a perfect blend, and even those who do not normally like techno will appreciate the overall mix.

Now all [Orestez] wants to do in life is play music, so I command you to go and be his audience! Don't forget to rate all the music you listen to. ;)

1.Easy

<img400*0:stuff/Patriciomemberphoto.jpg>

This time, we feature a song from the Punk, [Patricio]!

Essentially an acoustic song, it starts off with a 'tchang tchang tcha tcha tcha tchang'...well you get the idea!

[Patricio] co-wrote the guitar music of this song with a friend and describes it as a 'simple 4 chords song, with lyrics about how easy is it, sometimes, to forget things that were important once...'

He wishes he could inject more humour into his songs, feeling that most of his songs come across too seriously. Being a punk guy, his favourite themes for song creation are, 'Broken relationships, love, the disaster that it is the world where we live, the no future.'

Now I am done with quoting him because he says things more interestingly than I could rewrite them ;)

11.The Everlast Song

<img:http://www.musmakers.com/stuff/pixieacousticrose.jpg>

The second Featured Song is, in the artist's own words, “just a story. With bouncy music.” It does bounce, and chances are you’ll be bouncing along. If it also puts pictures in your head, then [pixie_shimmer] can consider the mission accomplished.
Her favourite subject – boys – is well represented, but what exactly she was thinking about them at the moment is debatable. The music, which on this rare occasion came first, is what she likes the most about it. And what she dislikes the most – but that’s just laziness.
[pixie_shimmer] herself plays the guitar – of course - and wants a voice like the female Josh Groban.
