2005-07-01 [True, plain and simple]: Eh? Because I have to go back to Hong Kong first before I can hand out the invitations. O_o

2005-07-01 [Citrus]: Hand out the invitations? You don't hand them out, you send them via messages on Elfpack or something!

2005-07-01 [True, plain and simple]: Why on earth would I do that? I would much rather print out the invitations and hand them to the people who I know are very involved musically. That's how you can be sure to only have people that have the interest of the community in mind. Most people on Elfpack are not exactly the best people to invite if you want to avoid those "hi wuz up" messages.. ;)

2005-07-02 [Citrus]: Oh...whatver you want, I guess. It just seems a little weird that you wouldn't just message them to your friends.

2005-07-02 [melonmonster]: This debate is too funny! But I agree with both sides - it's easier to meet people if there are less of them, but with more people it's more of a community.

2005-07-02 [Stephen]: I agree that less member will keep away annoying messages, but it also limits the number of people that share intrests. [True, plain and simple] has a good idea about just inviting people actually intrested in music.

2005-07-02 [melonmonster]: Well, yeah, I guess that's kind of the point - to invite people who are actually interested in music.

2005-07-03 [Moorn]: *thinks* I get the idea that an invite system is going to keep the number of members fairly low, if nothing else then by nature. Whereas Elftown/pack or Cathug just require a click to enter, there's actual effort involved in this. ^_^ The more effort involved, the fewer unnecessary types will come around.

2005-07-03 [Citrus]: That makes more sense than what I was saying before.

2005-07-03 [Citrus]: But still, there are people who want to be a part and who actually enjoy music, but might not be able to prove it.

2005-07-03 [Hedda]: But this isn't a site for people enjoying music. This is a site for people who are creating music.

2005-07-03 [melonmonster]: Really? Because that seems kind of weird, like you might REALLY love music but not be able to create songs. I don't really know how to say it...but, like for instance if you love music but have trouble creating songs, maybe listening to songs written by people more or less your level could inspire you...I don't know...

2005-07-03 [Moorn]: Well, you can listen to the songs on the site without being a member, yeah?

2005-07-04 [Citrus]: You can? I didn't know that...

2005-07-04 [Moorn]: I directed one of my friends to the site to listen to a song, who isn't a member. There are links on the entrance page.

2005-07-05 [Patricio]: Yes, you can listen to songs without being a member. You can see the presentations without being a member too, you just need the link. This site is for music creators, not fans, so keep that in mind when inviting new people, please.

2005-07-05 [Consider me deleted]: We have 114 members now... Perhaps it should be updated? (And remember, I never mean to sound impatient. I don't think it's a big deal, but it's an idea...)

2005-07-05 [Patricio]: It'll be updated monthly... or something.

2005-07-06 [melonmonster]: I just think...I don't really know how to say it, but if you love love love music but say have no talent for writing music or haven't ever tried or something but you want to listen to songs at your level with the hopes that they might give you some ideas...I just think that people who are insane about music should have just as much right to join as those with extreme talent for writing songs. We want diversity, don't we? :P And that's cool how you can listen to songs without being part of the site, I never knew that.

2005-07-06 [Hedda]: I guess I could create a site http://fans.musmakers.com/ too... But that will be yet another community, and I don't know if I can manage that.

2005-07-06 [melonmonster]: I didn't mean I wanted you to make another site!! I think you're doing so much already, what with all of these awesome communities!
