Message From Proton is the name of this song and the name of our 2nd album.
Proton was the name of our lead guitar player's cat.
Proton was a big black kitty who was prety friendly and did all of the good cat stuff he was supposed to do.
Unfortunatly, even tho he was fixed, he liked to spray.
Now George, our lead guitar player, is a collector, and his garage is full of old guitar amps, crates full of old records and lots of other neat stuff. Proton always loved to spray on these things, so Proton wasn't allowed in the garage. :(
This same garage was also our rehersal space, and durring the summer it is too hot out to play with the garage door closed, so we would open the door for some air.
Proton was sneaky, and he knew that was his big chance to get in the garage and spray something valuable. He would always try to sneak in while we were playing.
It happened a few times that George would see him, then he would stop playing right in the middle of a song and yell,
"Proton, get out of the garage!"
Proton became the band mascot and we all loved him, but he got very sick ealier this year and he passed away. ,v_V
This album and this song are dedicated to him. Meow!

2006-04-02 zoloftzantac: Thanks, it was the first song we wrote and we have enjoyed being able to record it and play it live a few times now. There is an old Revels song named Churchkey that gave some small insperation for this song, you might like that too.

2006-04-12 zoloftzantac: Yeah, The Revels kick ass, they did that instrumental tune 'Comanche' on the Pulp Fiction soundtrack. (amazing trumpet on that track)
I *love* that movie, really great music, however I heard that Tarantino had originaly wanted 'My Sharona' by The Knack for the "Bring out the gimp" sequence. Thank goodness he couldn't get the movie rights ... umm, let's not see how far I can digress tho ^_^
Church Key is a silly song and it might be a little hard to find, message me if you would like some help "finding" it.

2006-06-08 zoloftzantac: I had a really hard time downloading ChurchKey, it is a very silly song and it isn't really very much like Message from Proton. If I'm not careful I might accidentaly email the mp3 to somebody someday ...
