how do you make a song file? do you need special software or something to get your songs that you sing onto the computer? do you sing into a microphone or just near the computer? and do you make it on a cd and then do something with a cd or just do it directly to the computer? |

I don't know if there is a device that can record to a CD, but if you have something like that, you can of course read the CD from the computer, and copy the files and maybe turn them into MP3s or OGG-files. |

If you connect a Mic to your computer (you just plug the things in to the relevant socket and they work) and open a new file on a program that you can record with then there should be some kind of response to the input that the program is getting from the mic, like on audacity you get a picture of the wave-form (if thats the right term). That way you know that it is working, then you'd just click "record" :D |
